Act I, Scene 1
 
This scene starts with the three witches gathering in an open field near a battle site during a thunderstorm. The witches agree to meet again to greet Macbeth.
 
Act I, Scene 2
 
This scene is set in King Duncan's camp and further introduces Macbeth. A sergeant comes into the camp bleeding and reports on the progress of the battle. Macbeth wins the battle and kills the rebel Macdonwald. But as so as the battle was won, Sweno, the Norwegian King, attacks Macbeth and his army. Macbeth and Banquo withstand the attack to win another battle.
After reporting back to Duncan, the soldier departs to tend to his wounds, and Thane of Ross enters to greet the king. He reports that Thane of Cawdor was a traitor and joined forces with the King of Norway to battle against Macbeth. King Duncan orders that the Thane of Cawdor be execution.
 
Act I, Scene 3
 
This scene starts with the witches meeting again close to the recent battle. Then Macbeth and Banquo enter and Macbeth asks the witches to speak. They respond by hailing Macbeth three times and by greeting him by calling him Thane of Cawdor and the future king. Macbeth was shocked at what they said. Banquo begs to hear his future and the witches told him that he shall beget kings. When Macbeth asked to know more the witches disappeared.  They are interupted by Ross and Angus, who were sent by Duncan. The messengers tells Macbeth how King Duncan appreciates his bravery and reveals that he has been bestowed the title of Thane of Cawdor. Macbeth turns to Banquo and says he can't believe the witches spoke such truth. In the end of this scene Macbeth decides to let fate take its own course.
 
Act I, Scene 4
 
This scene takes place at King Duncan's Palace at Forres. Duncan asks if Cawdor was executed. Malcolm said that he confessed his treasons, asked for forgiveness, and then died honorably. When Macbeth and Banquo arrived with Ross and Angue, Duncan greeted the new Thane of Cawdor and thanked both Macbeth and Banquo for their loyal service. Then Duncan announced that Malcolm was the heir to the throne. Duncan was coming to visit Macbeth at Inverness and Macbeth knew taht an opportunity was presenting itself to him. Macbeth leaves to go tell his wife the news of the royal visit.
 
Act I, Scene 5
 
This scene is set in Macbeth's castle Inverness. The scene starts with Lady Macbeth reading a letter from Macbeth. In the letter, Macbeth tells about his encounter with the three witches and about their prediction of him becoming the Thane of Cawdor and the King of Scotland, then Macbeth said how he really believes that he will become king. She feared that Macbeth was too kind that to carry out any plan that would insure that he would be king. She then decided to help Macbeth by encouraging him to kill Duncan. As she pondered all the news when an attendant entered to say that King Duncan is coming for a visit. She saw this at the perfect opportunity to have Macbeth kill Duncan. Macbeth entered the scene and she greets him like a king. In no time She shared her thoughts about killing Duncan. When Macbeth told her that Duncan will only be staying one night and leaving tomorrow. Then Lady Macbeth said "never shall sun that morrow see!" She then told Macbeth to act normal and can't let his plans of murder show in his face. Lady Macbeth said that she wanted to be in control of the plans and Macbeth agreed that it was ok. The scene ends with Lady Macbeth telling Macbeth to stay calm and "leave the rest to me."
 
Act I, Scene 6
 
This scene opens outside of Inverness Castle where King Duncan arrives with his sons, Banquo, and other attendants. As they admire the castle, Lady Macbeth comes out to greet them, He then takes her hand and asks her to lead him to his host.
 
Act I, Scene 7
 
Macbeth is wrestling with his feelings about killing the king. When Lady Macbeth entered and complained to Macbeth how he left the king at dinner. Macbeth answered by saying,"We will proceed no further in this business." His wife attacks him by saying that he is a fearful coward which affected him. She proceeds to tell Macbeth how Kuncan will be killed and how she will make his chamberlains appear to be guilty. She will then get the guards drunk with wine. Macbeth will then stab Duncan while he is unguarded, then they will smear the king's blood on the chamberlains and Macbeth agrees to the plan. 
 
Act II, Scene 1
 
This scen opens at Inverness around midnight with Banquo and his son Fleance a conversation before going to bed. Macbeth then enters the scene, and Banquo turns to him and praises Macbeth for his hospitality. Banquo and his son go to sleep and Macbeth is left by herself. He sees a vision of a dagger in front of him and when he reaches for it there was nothing. He closes his eyes to get rid of the image but it was still there but this time it was dripping with blood. He realized that the knife was not real. Macbeth hears a bell  calling him to kill Duncan and He turned to leave.
 
Act II, Scene 2
 
Lady Macbeth enters and says that everything is ready and she left the daggers out for Macbeth to use. She would have killed Duncan if he didn't look like her father. Lady Macbeth waits for Macbeth to come back with news that he killed Duncan. Macbeth is so shaken by the murder that he brings the bloody daggers back with him and Lady Macbeth takes the knifes back. As she leaves there was a loud and repeated knocking. The sound made Macbeth panic. When Lady Macbeth returned, she lead him out towards their bedroom to wash up and change. As they left, she warned Macbeth not to get lost in thought of what happened.
 
Act II, Scene 3
 
The porter at the gate heared knocking and let Macduff and Lennox in. Macbeth leads Macduff to the king. Macduff returned after discovering that the king had been murdered. He is hysterical, telling them of the murder and called for an alarm. Lady Macbeth came and asked what had happened. Lennox said it looked like the chamberlains killed him. Macbeth in anger killed the chamberlains. Malcolm and Donalbain are afraid and agree to leave.
 
Act II, Scene 4
 
This scene opens the next day outside Macbeth's castle. Ross and an old man talk about the tragedy that occured last night. The old man talked about all the weird things that happened that night. Macduff enters and says that he believes the servents were paid to kill Duncan by Malcolm and Donaldbain. Then Macduff revealed that Macbeth has been chosen king and is already at Scone so he could be crowned.
 
Act III, Scene 1
 
This scene is at the palace at Forres with Banquo. Banquo is wondering that if the witches' prediction came true about Macbeth then would his come true too. Then a trumpet sounded as King Macbeth and the Queen entered with with Ross, Lennox and some other people. Macbeth invited Banquo to the banquet he was holding that evening. Banquo accepted and told Macbeth that he would forever serve the king. Banquo leaves and Macbeth starts thinking that he is not safe with Banquo around. He also was getting jealousy about how the witches said that Banquo's sons would someday be kings and not Macbeth's future children. So Macbeth decided that he must kill Banquo and his son Fleance. A servant then entered with two murderers that Macbeth hired. He asked them to kill Banquo and son. Macbeth tolded them that Banquo was his enemy but could not openly kill him cause of their mutual friends. Macbeth said that the murder has to happen that night away from the palace and that they must kill the son Fleance as well. The murderers agree to the plan and leaves to wait for further orders from the king.
 
Act III, scene 2
 
This scene opens with Lady Macbeth sending a servent to get Macbeth. While she was waiting she said how she was worried about Macbeth and how he was too fearful of the crown to gain any pleasure from it. When Macbeth arrived, She asked< Why do you keep alone of sorriest fanciies your companions making?" and said "Whats done is done." Macbeth admits that he fears the retribution of his actions and how he would rather be dead than endure the torment he was feeling. He promises to Lady Macbeth that he would act normal and for her to look for Banquo at the banquet. She then tells him not to worry about Banquo and Macbeth replies by telling her that he has done something bad and for her not to get involved until it is done.
 
Act III, Scene 3
 
This scene opens with the two murderers waiting when a three one shows up, who was also sent by Macbeth. The three murderers are waiting for Banquo and Fleance to return from their ride to the countryside. They enter on foot talking about the weather when the murderers attack and stab Banquo. As he dies, he screams to Fleance to run and get revenge for him. Fleance escapes and the murderers leave to tell the king that the son got away.
 
Act III, Scene 4
 
At the banquet, Lady Macbeth goes to play hostess while Macbeth talks to the murderers. When he learns Fleance escaped he starts to feels like he is surrounded by fear instead of being calm and safe. Macbeth was grateful that Banquo was killed but felt that Fleance would return. Lady Macbeth told him to come and entertain the guest. Macbeth then thinks that he is seeing Banquo's ghost sitting in his chair but Ross and Lennox tells him to sit cause they can't see the ghost. Lady Macbeth tells everyone that this is just a temporary fit. Macbeth says he is ill and starts to drink wine to Banquo. He tells the ghost to go away and that its not real. Lady Macbeth tells the Lords at the banquet to leave after Macbeth continues to act weird. Macbeth then starts to wonder where Macduff is at and then says that he will go see the witches again.
 
Act III, Scene 5
 
This scene starts at the Heath where Hecate is angry with the witches for dealing with Macbeth without telling her about is. She says that he will be told of his destiny at the cave the next day. Hecate puts spells on Macbeth to make him come and the witches are preparing for her return.
 
Act III, Scene 6
 
Lennox is talking to a Lord about his suspicions of how Macbeth is acting and how two people killed their fathers. Lennox also was told that Macduff was in England to rally forces against Macbeth.
 
Act IV, Scene 1
 
The scene starts with the witches making spells in their cauldron when Macbeth approaches them. He asked them to answer his questions no matter the consciences and he wants to hear it from the witches' master. He is greeted by an apparition that can read his mind and will answer his question. The first apparition was a head wearing armor, It calls out Macbeths name three times and tells him to beware Macduff. The secand apparition was a bloody child, it calls Macduff's name three times and tells him,"be bloody, bold, and resolute:laugh to scorn the power of man; for none of woman born shall harm Macbeth." The third and final apparition appeared as a crowned child carrying a tree in his hand. The child tells Macbeth to be brave and proud and not to worry about conspirators because he will not be killed until the Great Birnam wood moves against him. Macbeth feels safe sense he knows nobody not of woman born and that trees can't move.  He thinks he is safe until he sees a line of kings that represent Banquo's descendents. The last king is holding a mirror that makes the line seem endless. They all disappear when Lennox shows up to tell Macbeth that Macduff went to England. So Macbeth decides to kill Macduff's family for being a traitor.
 
Act IV, Scene 2
 
This scene starts at Macduff's castle with Lady Macduff wondering were Macduff is at. She was talking to Ross about Macduff calling him a coward and a traitor. Ross leaves and Lady Macduff turns to her son and tells him that his dad is most likly dead. The son doesn't believe her and asks if he is a traitor. His mother answers by saying that anyone who lies is a traitor and should be hanged. A messenger enters and tells her that she should flee cause her life is in danger. She says she has no place to go. When the messenger left not that long after the murderers come in and stab the boy. The boy says, "He has killed he, mother; run away, I pray you." Lady Macduff runs off screaming "murder," but is pursued by the murderers who are most certainly going to kill her too.
 
Act IV, Scene 3
 
This scene opes in front of the king's castle in England with Malcolm and Macduff talking about the events that are happening in Scotland by Macbeth. They both don't trust each other and Macduff can sense that Malcolm is worried that Macduff is here to kill Malcolm. Macduff tells Malcolm that he is not treacherous but he does not believe him. Malcolm keeps lying to him to test and see if he is a spy by saying that he would be a terrible king. Macduff  says that Malcolm was unfit to be the king. As Macduff starts to leave Malcolm stops him and tells him that he was tricking him to test Macduff's motive. Malcolm pledges to support Macduff overthrow Macbeth. Then Ross shows up telling Macduff's family is alright. He tries to get the to return and rescue Scotland. Then Ross tells Macduff that his family was actually dead. Macduff is then overcome with grief at the loss and guilt of leaving his family. Malcolm encouraged him to turn the grief into anger against Macbeth and Macduff agrees to get revenge on him.
 
Act V, Scene 1
 
This scene starts in the castle at Dunsinane with a gentlewoman who was taking care of Lady Macbeth. She summoned a doctor to watch Lady Macbeth for to nights to observe her. In the two nights Lady Macbeth did not have any symptoms of waking up and writing things haven't occurred. When the doctor asked the gentle woman about it she would not repeat anything Lady Macbeth said cause she was unsure. Then Lady Macbeth looked like she was carrying a light and acted as if she was blood of her hands but could not clean them. She questioned why her husband should be scared, but complained of the blood that was shed. As the two observed her she seemed as if she was wracked with guilt. The doctor sayed that she would need the help of God and not help from a doctor.
 
Act V, Scene 2
 
The scene takes place near Dunsinane. The Scottish soldiers are gathering to prepare for their attack against Macbeth. The English army, led by Malcolm, Macduff, and Siward are nearby. One of the Scottish lords, Angus, says that they will meet near Birnam Wood. The gentlemen were talking about how Donaldbain has not yet came and joined his brother Malcolm. They also were talking about Macbeth and how he has fortified his castle. Everyone knows that he has lost control of himself and most think he is insane. As the scene ends they move to Birnam Wood.
 
Act V, Scene 3
 
This scene opens with Macbeth wondering how the prophecy will come true and tries to stay calm. Macbeth is told about the English forces and tells Seyton that this battle will either remove him or make him happy. Macbeth asks for his armor so he can defend himself to the end.
 
Act V, Scene 4
 
The scene starts with Malcolm telling the each soldier to cut down tree branches to put in front of him to camouflag himself. So the scouts will think that there aren't a lot of soldiers then they move off to battle. While Macbeth is waiting in his castle.
 
Act V, Scene 5
 
this scene takes place in the palace at Kunsinane with Macbeth talking to Seton and his soldiers. Then they start hearing women cring and when Macbeth asked what happened Seton said that the Queen was dead. Then a messenger enters and tells Macbeth that he saw the Birnham wood appeared to be moving.  Macbeth started to wish that this would hurry up and end and he began to prepare for death fighting.
 
Act V, Scene 6
 
This scene is just beyond the castle. Malcolm, Siward, and Macduff are talking as they lead their army to battle. Malcolm tells his troops to throw down the branches. Then Malcolm orders Siward and his son to lead the first charge and he and Macduff will follow.
 
Act V, Scene 7
 
This scene starts with Macbeth entering the battle and wonders which man was not born of woman. Young Siward enters and challenges Macbeth to a dual and is killed in the battle. Macduff shows up looking for Macbeth and getting revenge for his family. As he continues his search Siward tells Malcolm that the castle surrendered and most of Macbeth's men has deserted him. As they approach the castle, Macduff spots Macbeth and calls out to him but Macbeth was still troubled with the old murders he committed. Macduff advances and challenges the king to fight. Macbeth is still confident until Macduff tells him that he was untimely ripped from his mothers womb. Macbeth relizes that Macduff will be the one to kill him and at first Macbeth acts as if he was going to surrender but then raises his shield and they start to fight. Malcolm, Siward, and Ross enters the scene and Malcolm is worried of their friends that are missing. Siward tells him there will always be deaths in a battle. then Malcolm realized that Macduff and young Siward are gone. Ross tells them that Young Sliward fought and died like a man. Macduff walks to them with Macbeth's head on a pole and said, "Hail, King! for so thou art." Malcolm addressed the crowd and then immediately returned the country back to normal. He also seid that they can call home their exiled friends and that they should find the last supporters of Macbeth.
