The Three Witches - The three witches
who plot mischief against Macbeth with prophecies. Their prediction caused Macbeth to kill Duncan, ordered that Banquo
and his son to be killed, and to believe that he was immortal. The witches were servents of Hecate.
Malcolm - The son of Duncan, who challenges
Macbeth for the throne with the help of Macduff and England.
Hecate - The goddess of witchcraft, who
helps the three witches work their mischief on Macbeth.
Fleance - Banquo’s son, who survives
Macbeth’s attempt to murder him.
Lennox - A Scottish nobleman.
Ross - A Scottish nobleman.
The Murderers - A group of ruffians who
were paid by Macbeth to murder Banquo, Fleance (whom they failed to kill), Macduff's wife and his son.
Porter - The drunken doorman of Macbeth’s
castle.
Lady Macduff - Macduff’s wife, whom
Macbeth had killed.
Donalbain - Duncan’s son and Malcolm’s
younger brother
